Memorial Day Program for 2015 Announced


The Hayward Municipal Band will present a concert of patriotic music in the Amphitheater of Lone Tree Cemetery in Hayward on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015. The music will begin at 10:30 a.m. and be followed by the cemetery's traditional Memorial Day program, which begins at 11:00. The band will also perform during the program.

The Cemetery Board of Directors has requested that Lolita Morelli sing “Let There Be Peace On Earth” in the program. The audience will be invited to join in singing the "Battle Hymn of the Republic.”  All past and present members of the military will be acknowledged in the musical "Armed Forces Salute.” At approximately 11:03 an  EMU Huey Helicopter will fly over.

Please attend this Memorial Day tribute on Monday, May 25th, 2015 at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Avenue,  Hayward California.

Hayward Municipal Band Announces 59th Season




The Hayward Municipal Band, under the direction of Kathy Morelli Maier, will commence  its 59th season on Father's Day, June 21, 2015 at 2:30 p.m., and continue for four consecutive Sundays on the Tony Morelli Bandstand in Memorial Park, 24176 Mission Blvd. behind the Hayward Plunge. 

Bring a picnic lunch, sit on the grass or bring a folding chair, and enjoy the 40-member professional concert band as it performs classical, popular, big band, jazz, musicals, Latin music, and more. Concerts are always FREE.

The band will also perform at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave. in Hayward, starting at 10:30 a.m. on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015.

Concerts are made possible by support from the City of Hayward and the Hayward Area Recreation and Park District.
