The music begins at 10:30 a.m., and the formal program starts at 11:00 a.m.

This is the 114th annual Memorial Day program at Lone Tree Cemetery. Said to be the longest continuous-running Memorial Day observance in the Bay Area, the program includes recognition of veterans, speeches by dignitaries, a show of military and classic vehicles, and a barbecue hosted by local Scouts. Patriotic music, including a musical tribute to all who have served our country, will be performed during the program.

2017 Season Announcement

The 40-piece Hayward Municipal Band announces its 2017 concert season.

The band  will perform at 2:30 p.m. on June 18, June 25, July 2, and July 9, 2017. Concerts are held on the Tony Morelli Bandstand in Memorial Park, 24176 Mission Boulevard, Hayward.  (The bandstand is behind the Hayward Plunge.)

Each concert will include classical, popular, big band, jazz, rock, musical theater, and Latin selections.  Carefully researched program notes are read for each selection.

This is the band's 61st year of bringing joy and happiness through music to people of all ages. We program our FREE concerts to celebrate cultural diversity in a joyous manner.  You may bring a picnic lunch and a blanket or chairs.   Some seating is available close to the bandstand.
