Program for July 10, 2011

The Hayward Municipal Band program for July 10, 2011 will include the Overture from Italians In Algiers by Rossini, two musicals, Brigadoon and Flower Drum Song, Leroy Anderson’s Blue Tango, a Latin rhythmic selection Valencia, Satchmo, A Tribute to Louis Armstrong, a vocal selection – Melodic Caravan, Big Band Bash which features Tuxedo Junction, Moonlight Serenade, Take the A Train and One O’clock Jump, marches and other enjoyable music. Come and relax in the beautiful setting of Memorial Park, 24176 Mission Blvd. (behind the Hayward Plunge). The FREE concert starts at 2:30.

Memorial Day 2011

The Hayward Municipal Band will perform on Memorial Day, May 30, 2011, in the Amphitheater at Lone Tree Cemetery, 24591 Fairview Ave. in Hayward starting at 10:30 a.m. Please plan to join us and enjoy the music prior to the beginning of the formal program, which starts at 11:00 a.m. and will include patriotic and inspirational tributes to our fallen heroes. A musical tribute to all current and former members of the Armed Services will be presented as well as vocal and instrumental patriotic music.
